TACTICAL URBANISM

Guest Speaker Rik Adamski spoke with us on March 23, 2013 about DYI Tactical Urbanism.

Tactical Urbanism is aimed to develop urban practices with the use of new technologies, which improves the livability of our towns and cities, starting at the street, block, and public space.

Klyde Warren Park (http://www.klydewarrenpark.org/ ) is a perfect example of Tactical Urbanism.  There are many activities that we can explore while visiting the park.

In Atlantic City, New Jersey, a group of people organized the largest yoga class on public street.

I was Corsicana and saw a real-life example of tactical urbanism.  A parking lot of a grocery store converted into a mobile restaurant serving delicious crawfish.
